John joined RMG Consulting in March 2008 bringing more than
37 years of experience to the firm. A proven leader in the industry,
John has held key executive positions with leading companies
including Reliance National Insurance Company and Home Insurance
Company.
Before joining RMG Consulting, Mr. Morgan managed his own firm
providing coverage review and analysis on domestic and international
property, boiler & machinery, marine and reinsurance claims
including litigation management and arbitration services to
the insurance industry.
Previously, Mr. Morgan was Vice-President and Manager of Property
Claims at Reliance National Insurance Company and Reliance Insurance
Company managing the property and marine claims department with
responsibility for large complex domestic and international
property, marine and reinsurance claims. He also was involved
in the liquidation of Reliance Insurance Company and has extensive
experience with insurer liquidations.
Mr. Morgan began his career in the industry in 1971 with Home
Insurance Company where he spent 19 years in various regional
and national management roles including Assistant Director of
the Property Claims Department and Corporate Secretary / Claim
Officer - Property Claims.
Mr. Morgan's specialization includes general property, petrochemical,
utilities, boiler & machinery and engineered risks. Additionally,
John's strength lies in marine claims, aviation, animal mortality
(bloodstock), litigation management and reinsurance.
Mr. Morgan received his bachelor's degree in business administration
from the University of Phoenix and is the author of Property
Insurance Claims Training, a program for entry level adjusters.
John is an ARIAS - US Certified Arbitrator and has participated
in arbitrations both as a party appointed arbitrator and as
a participating party.
Mr. Morgan enjoys the professional designations of Property
Claims Law Associate (PCLA), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter
(CPCU), Associate in Marine Insurance Management (AMIM) and
is currently a member of Society of CPCU, Loss Executives Association,
Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, ARIAS-US and
The Reinsurance Association of America.
